We are thrilled to announce the co-development of a battery storage portfolio with a total capacity of 500MW in Greece. This will enable more efficient and effective use of electricity generated from renewable sources.

Energy storage is a crucial component in the transition to a decentralized electricity-generating system that relies on renewable sources. Battery storage systems provide flexibility to the grid, allowing electricity generated during periods of low demand to be stored and used when demand is high. This helps to smooth out fluctuations in electricity supply and demand, resulting in a more stable and reliable grid. Additionally, battery storage enables the integration of renewable energy sources by providing a reliable source of energy during periods of low wind or solar power production.

The portfolio will consist of five large-scale storage projects, each with a capacity of 100MW and a duration of four hours. These projects will utilize state-of-the-art technology to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. The batteries will be connected to the grid, allowing for optimal flexibility and responsiveness.

The importance of energy storage cannot be overstated in the transition to a sustainable and renewable energy future. By storing excess energy generated from renewable sources, battery storage systems can help reduce reliance on fossil fuels, lower carbon emissions and provide a more reliable and stable grid.

We are excited to be at the forefront of the battery storage market in Greece and beyond and look forward to the positive impact it will have on the industry.
