100 MW/4hr BESS Development for Wattcrop Developments
1. Pre-development plot-suitability check
Collect and analyze geospatial data about (possible) exclusion zones (protected areas, NATURA 2000, settlement boundaries, archaeological sites etc).
Applications to the competent authorities (planning, archaeology etc).
2. Topo Survey
Site visit and land measurement by the Land Surveyor
Draw the topo design in the appropriate map background and coordinates systems defined by the regulations
3. Electrical Designing
Grid Study (nearby substations and overhead transition lines, connected producers etc.)
Sizing and designing the BESS
Drawing the Single Line Diagram
4. RAE Application
Further to the previous designs, other studies have to be conducted also, for the project to be submitted for a Storage License, create the shapefiles for RAE Geoportal, collect the rest of the files needed (Land Use, Financial Eligibility, financial and operating modelling etc.)
5. Environmental Licensing
Collect data from the wider area (previous studies, references etc.)
Conduct the appropriate environmental impact study, depending on the license category of the project (A1, A2 or B)
Drawing the required maps and designs
Monitoring the process and contacting the authorities until the issuance of the Environmental License
